Mellow Yellow is a Caribbean Oceanfront Beach House designed to maximize the views and Caribbean breezes both inside and out. You will enjoy falling asleep to the soothing sound of the Caribbean surf outside your bedroom window(s). There are two master suites strategically located on either side of the 500+ square foot great room. Each master suite offers custom designed Queen Beds & night stands with tall lamps to provide adequate lighting for reading. Each suite  has ample closet space with built-in drawers and additional inside lighting.

The large en-suites have 2 double sinks, quiet flush toilets, large fully tiled/glass block showers with rain shower/shower heads. There are drawers and cupboards for storage and additional accent lighting above the vanity mirrors. One bathroom contains a stacking washer/dryer tucked out of sight in a laundry closet. This is available for your use and detergent is provided.

The Great Room has a 20 foot high open beam vaulted ceiling made from 2 beautiful local woods Nargusta and Santa Maria. The fully equipped kitchen features a double door refrigerator with ice maker and potable water dispenser, full size gas range and oven, quiet dishwasher, double stainless steel sink, granite counter-tops with a 12 foot breakfast area, 4 swivel bar stools and mahogany cabinetry all locally made.

Dining area has large table & 6 chairs which if needed comfortably seats 8. Also in the great room are two distinct seating /relaxing areas. One is the TV area which includes a 48 “wall mounted flat screen HDTV, with double futon and 2 large matching chairs. The other area has local rattan settee and chairs which is a comfy reading corner.

There are 8 fans (light & fan) combinations in the house, 4 in the great room and one in each of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Air conditioning may be needed on breeze less nights so 3 A/C units are available. One in each bedroom and a large unit in the great room.

The floors have the same large unobtrusive non-slip ceramic tile throughout including the 400 square foot front deck. Features of the front deck which runs the full width of the house are additional chairs, tables, and 2 hammocks one at either end. The deck is capped off with a great Caribbean finish Exotic Cane Ceiling. 2 Fans are also available on the outside deck. This is one of 3 decks. The 2nd is a 440 square foot rooftop deck with 360 degree panoramic view, ideal for enjoying the great sunrises, sunsets and spectacular star gazing. Access to these 2 large decks is done via the 2 story concrete spiral staircase. A unique feature to our home and the Village.

The Village:

Hopkins is located in the Stann Creek district of Belize, Central America. It is centrally located when it comes to things to see and do. You are on the Caribbean Sea so all water activities are readily available. The rain forest and river tours are a call away!  Day trips to the Mayan ruins, caves, jungle hikes and zoo(indigenous  wildlife reserve like no other) are also available. Our property Manager Mirko is a registered tour Operator and can arrange all your adventure tours and travels for you.
