Mayawalk Tours is an eco-friendly, family owned, local tour operator based in San Ignacio, Cayo, Belize. We have been operating adventure tours since 1997, and we offer over a dozen adventure tours in Belize with a special emphasis on caving and canoeing tours. Our local guides are more than happy to share their knowledge about the archaeology and history of the sites that you will visit. Education Here at MayaWalk, our guides have worked directly with many scientists who conduct research in Belize including archaeologists, biologists, and geologists, to name a few. These educational alignments ensure that each MayaWalk guide is kept up-to-date with the latest scientific research being conducted in Belize. We are happy to impart not only historical insights, but also current findings with you during your tours. Adventure We are adventure seekers and have pioneered many adventure tours in the area. MayaWalk Tours was the first tour company to be granted permission to the famous ActunTunichilMuknal (ATM) Cave under the owner Aaron Juan, with Ian Smith serving as the first official tour guide to the site. Solid Equipment We pride ourselves in investing in the best outdoor equipment that safe and highly functional. We have a membership with the REI outdoor equipment store that provides us with the latest and best equipment in the world. Safety MayaWalk has passenger liability on all our vehicles and tours activities, ensuring that all of our guests will be safe during the tour.
