Belize International Film Festival 2016
Film lovers are enthusiastic about the upcoming Belize International Film Festival 2016 happening in Belize City, November 10th to 13th. Enjoy top films created both locally, regionally and internationally; get to know the talented filmmakers and discover their source of motivation for each film.
This year marks the 11th Annual event and it features the following categories: Short, Narrative Feature, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short and Music Video.
Highlights:
- Opening Night (Nov 10th): Red Carpet Gala begins (6:00 p.m. – 8:00p.m.) followed by the showing of two films “YOCHI” (25 minutes) and IXCANUL (100 minutes).
- Closing Night / Awards Show (Nov 13th).
On November 11th and 12th, enjoy other films showing in the following communities: Corozal Town, Orange Walk Town, San Pedro Town, San Ignacio Town and Belize City (at the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts).
These films include: “Sabina K”, “Imprisoned”, “Trafficked”, “Sonorous Earth”, “The Beginning of Time”, “Queen Nanny”, “Life of a Village Teacher”, “A Paradise Stolen”, “My Fathers Land”, “Mrs. Right Guy”, “Bank”, “Erosion”, “Slash and Burn”, “Pillaging of the Chiquibul”, “I Am From Where A River Runs”, “Wings of Hope”, “Lungs of Belize”, “Hexa: Grandson of the Rulers of Brazil” and the “Red Earth”.
