9th Annual Belize International FILM Festival 2014
Be immersed in all things Caribbean during July 16th – 21st, as the “9th Annual Belize International FILM Festival 2014” provides a front seat pass to award-worthy films, hosted in different regions around Belize!
Learn the secrets from some of the most recognizable Caribbean filmmakers as they explain the premise of their plot and some of the obstacles and benefits they experienced along the way…
Festival Events:
Be relaxed, your free pass provides access to a (post) question and answer segment with the filmmakers themselves! Movie Night: A free public screening of five short films by Commonwealth filmmakers:
– July 16th “Opening Doors…” (Venue: Belize City’s Memorial Park 7:30 -10:00 P.M.).
– July 18th (Venue: Seine Bight’s Community Center 7:30 – 10 P.M.).
– July 18th (Venue: Orange Walk Town’s Queen E. Park 7:30 – 10:00 P.M.).
– July 19th (Venue: San Pedro Ambergris Caye’s Central Park at 7:30 – 10:00 P.M.).
– July 19th (Venue: San Ignacio-Cayo District’s Visitor’s Center at 7:30 – 10:00 P.M.).
– July 19th (Venue: Dangriga’s Princess R. Park at 7:30 – 10:00 P.M.).
Celebrate all things FILM (in a red-carpet setting) and mingle with a host of talented filmmakers and the event organizers (Tickets are available for these GALA events):
– July 17th: “Opening GALA”, hosted in Placencia Village at the Robert’s Grove Resort (Televised Red Carpet Arrivals; Featured Film, “Kinston Paradise”).
– July 20th: “Closing Awards Banquet” hosted in Belize City at the Princess Hotel 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. (Televised event starts with a Red Carpet Arrival and ends with an Awards Show).
Join in all the fun! Event highlights also includes: a Video Competition, a Youth Workshop, Commonwealth Writers Screenwriting Clinic, and an Audiovisual Industry Symposium, all happening throughout this six-day festival!
