Belize is welcoming travelers again, with a Tourism Gold Standard program in place designed to keep you safe and recognized as one of the top in the world. See our Health & Safety page for up-to-date details related to COVID-19 vaccinations, testing requirements and everything else you need to know in order to have the Belize vacation of your dreams.
Other than September, lobster season is arguably the jolliest season in Belize. With the wind whipping your hair, your heart will practically be chanting “lobster…lobster…” as your water taxi speeds off to Caye Caulker, San Pedro or Placencia in June.
With three grand festivals to choose from, the Lobster Fests in Belize will leave your stomach full, but your heart hungry for more adventure. Lobster Fest organizers know its torture to choose from barefooted-havens and artistic towns, so dates are lined up so that you are able to enjoy all three festivals!
These are the official 2018 dates for the Lobster Festivals in Belize.
2018 Festival Dates:
- San Pedro, Ambergris Caye: June 13 – 22
- Placencia, Stann Creek: June 21 – 23
- Caye Caulker: June 28 – June 30
Since the 1990s, the festivals have been gracing locals and tourists alike with the most unimaginable lobster dishes in the region.
Any and every dish that can be altered to include lobster will be on the menu.
If entertainment is what you’re after, live music, competitions, and shows will dot the beach sides in all three towns. Chowing down on lobster mac-and-cheese while watching fishermen try to catch the biggest Lionfish is nothing short of exhilarating.
While spending your winter in Belize to escape the icy weather seems like the ideal plan, don’t stop there! Summer in Belize offers just as much (delicious) merrymaking.
It’s no secret Belize is an all-year round destination; give us a visit in June and your jet-setter soul – and eager palate – will thank you.
